TV and web on a face
TV & web puts a website onto one face of the house: a scoreboard on game day, a live stream, a slideshow you host, or a streaming service you already pay for. The player box opens the page in its own browser, corner-pins it to the face you pick with everything else black, and you drive the page from the designer or your phone.
Set it up
In Remote Display → Jukebox, games & TV → TV & web:
- Your sites. Add an address. The box needs its browser, which the Linux
installer adds unless you passed
--no-live; if the tab says the box has no browser, run the install line again without it. - Where it plays. Pick the face from the designer's Remote Display tab, where the house is open, or use the whole projector picture. A change moves the picture at once, without reloading the page.
- Open it. The site opens on the box until the next scheduled change, like any other override. Start page goes back to the site's front.
Driving the page
Under Remote:
- The page (tap to click): press New picture to see what the box's browser shows, then tap where you want to click. Arrows, Backspace and scrolling are buttons.
- Type: what you type is sent to the box and wiped from the server as soon as the box has it (within a minute if the box is offline). Sites show passwords as dots, so they never appear in the picture. Signing in to a service happens on the box, in its own browser profile, and stays signed in.
- Sound: volume and mute for the house are on the Sound tab and apply here too.

Streaming services
A streaming site plays in the box's browser like it would on a laptop, with the same limits:
- Some services block playback in a browser they do not recognise, or play only with an account signed in on the box. Check that your service allows playback in a browser.
- Services that protect their video cap the resolution in a Linux browser, typically at 720p and sometimes lower. On the side of a house that is rarely the thing you notice.
- Your subscription, its terms and what you may show in public are between you and the service. Projector Show only opens the page.
